This was an interesting episode cause not only explains the upgrades KITT uses later in the series, but also explains where the character Reginald (RC) comes from.
Basically Reginald used to be a self-appointed "superhero" in a "bad" neighborhood (e.g. He'd go around fighting crime in his neighborhood). I've heard on the news that such people exist now (some of them even wear costumes) but I didn't know that this idea went all the way back to the 80s, when this episode was made.
Basically this episode involves crooks trying to steal radioactive material, and they send someone impersonating Devon in as part of their plan. KITT also tempora
